Database/Ecommerce (Dynamic)
We are working on an E-Commerce website which will have about 5,000 products listed for sale. We will do all of the database entry. We are looking for someone to do the fun part — design the graphics for the site — and a few other things. Similar to the site at endless.com
We have researched various shopping cart scripts and are interested in using Magento, primarily because of its layered navigation. This is because our products have several different features, such as size, style, material, color and manufacturer and we want customers to be able to sort the subcategories by such features. All of the products are already in MS Excel files and all images are on CD — we will deal with most of the importing product data and product images.
The project will begin around the time Magento 1.0 is released (sometime next month). We will have Magento professionally install the script and setup web hosting.
We need someone to:
1) Implement a high impact web design for the entire site, including, logo, custom template, home page, buttons, etc. We may want to use flash, but we want it to look slick. There will be approximately 5 categories of products with 5 or more sub categories in each category.
2) Help setup certain aspects of the Magento script, including product attributes.
We would like any interested persons to submit samples of previously designed sites (a portfolio).
